SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
Let’s Fix Your Website’s Ranking
Getting your website to the first page of Google is everyones goal. But, there’s a catch.
It is no secret that it takes time to get to page one. Especially if your target keywords are highly competitive.
But, as always there’s a way! There are a multitude of ways to get to the top of the Google SERP (Search Engine Results Pages) in the meantime.
How you might ask — SIMPLE!
How Do I Rank?
Google offers a variety of PPC (pay per click) Ad choices. Depending on your service industry you may have multiple options at you disposal.
Google Ads is your classic Google SERP Ad.
As you can see, Google Ads will place you at the very top of the SERP above all of the organic listings.
But, Google Ads is going to cost you a pretty penny! Until you have your Google Ads configured just right the numbers can be daunting. But don’t fret — Acemedia is here to walk your through the process!
How Do I Rank Organically?
Ranking high organically is not something that will happen overnight. We wish that were not the case, but it takes time. Depending on your current traffic it could take anywhere from a few months to upwards of a whole year!
There are a lot of variables at play when it comes to ranking high on the SERP.
It may be tempting to “stuff” your website with keywords and have pages that run miles long with content. But that is NOT the right move!
Google will penalize your website if it detects that you are trying to cram your webpage with keywords. And don’t think you can be sneaky hiding keywords behind images or by camouflaging them with the background color. That won’t work either.
Now the most important step to get to the front page is — ██████ ███████ █████████ ████ ████ ████ ████████ ████████, ████████ █████████. Sorry, but that’s top secret.
What Other Options Are There?
We’re glad you asked! There are currently two Ad alternatives to organically ranking high on the SERP.
The first of which we’ve already covered, Google Ads. Google Ads allows you to bid on your positioning on the SERP. The quality of your website determines your positioning and will affect your CPC (cost per click).
It can be easy to focus on the short term with Google Ads, but you have to remember that there’s more to it than just the spend. The first month or so (depending on your industry) will be primarily for tweaking and adjusting your campaign to get it just right. It can be a scary process, but we’re here to help!
And the second, depending on your industry, is the relatively new Google Local Services.
What Is Google Local Services?
Google Local Services is Google’s new advertisment for service industries.
If you provide a local service (IE. Landscaping, Moving, Roofing, etc.) then it is highly recommended that you are to use Google Local Services! Local Services is Google’s answer to websites of the likes of Angieslist, Yelp, and HomeAdvisor.
Google Local Services only charges you for leads that call your company and so long as the call was not relevant to your industry you will get the lead refunded! The setup is a breeze and is linked with your Google My Business account — so be sure to have a spiffy looking listing!
Don’t have a Google My Business listing or need help getting more reviews? The Acemedia team is here to help!
As you can see, the Google Local Services are placed even HIGHER than the regular Google Ads.
If you’re in an eligible service industry and you’re not using Google Local Services — you’re making a terrible mistake!
