Do postcards work for small businesses? Do postcards work for business as a whole? These are the questions we’ll be answering in this article.

Postcards, just like any other form of marketing, have a varying degree of “approaches“. Depending on your industry and demographic you may want to entice potential clients/customers with a deal (IE. a discount coupon).
Or maybe your business just started and you want to get your name out there. Brandawarness is another prime technique with postcards.
Don’t think postcards would work for your industry? Think again.
If your competitors have stopped/don’t use postcards as a marketing technique, using them will only make you standout from the crowd.
Why Not Just Use Email?
Because the numbers say so, that’s why.
By no means are we dismissing email marketing. But, we’d wager to say that you sort through ALL of your mail and hardly look at all of your email (especially if your email is sorts out promotional emails such as Gmail etc.).
Open rates on mail is much higher than email. According to Postalytics, physical mail’s response rate is over thiry times higher than email.
Should I ditch my email marketing?
No! No! No a thousand times!
An email marketing campaign should be used in conjunction with a mailout campaign. The more times a potential client/customer sees your brand — the more likely they are to give you a call.
Think about the brands and memorable marketing you know. If you’re in the south of the USA, you can most likely think of a specific lawyer with memorable billiboards and TV adverts.
Marketing emails and physical mail in conjunction is just like that! You are just trying to increase your brandawarness and get that lead! It’s all about repetition!
